Great little amp. Use it as backup/practice amp. Does compress a little like tube amps and also breaks up at high volumes but the OD you get is a bit harsh (think new Fender amps). Very responsive controls change the sound a lot. I don't miss the mid control since I only tweak bass& treble on all my amps and leave the mids. Attenuator is great, I use it a lot. It is loud enough with my 8ohm speaker. With 4ohms it is really loud, plenty even for a VERY loud drummer. Also noisy at high volume on full power. The flat/boost funcion is great. Flat really is neutral, while boost works great with twangy and sometimes thin single coil guitars. Considering the price this is unbelievable value. It sounds better than I expected, I would even play a concert with it as my first amp. Great job VOX!
